Heritage Day Parade & Festival, & Chili Cook-off is held annually on the first Saturady of March.

The Heritage Day Parade presented by the Parrish Civic Association has been going on for over 35 years in Parrish. It started with the local community having dinner on the grounds and entertainment. Now it has grown to include floats, flag bearers, horses, fire engines, walkers, businesses and so many other interesting sights is fun for all!
To participate in the parade, you are encouraged to just show up. A waiver is given to each participant to release the PCA. The Parade goes down 121st Avenue East and ends up at the Florida Railroad Museum where the festival begins. The festival has vendors, live entertainment, and activities for the children.
The Chili Cook-Off with 30+ teams competing for best chili along with other awards brings tasters from across Manatee County and further! Enter a chili team or just do some chili tasting and vote for your favorite. It’s a great day for the community and all proceeds go back to the community in grants to deserving organizations serving the community.
